It may be DVCProHD in which case you need a Decoder from Raylight ($195)

No, it's not DVCProHD...at least, I don't think it is. When I check the info about the movie file, it says it's HDV.
Where did you get the clip?
The client handed me a DV tape and a DVD with a QT file to edit from. I'm assuming that they did some shooting with an HDV camera, captured the footage, and output this file.
I'm thinking that I'll make a call to a FCP editor friend and have him transfer the footage for me.
Is it this?
You can download a codec for it. It works a bit funky in Premiere but it works.
