Some cameras and software automatically rotate photos that were taken in portrait orientation and display them properly.
Other software just shows the image the same way that it was captured by the camera's sensor.
Does that apply here?
The photos in question were scanned in. all of them were scanned the same direction only some of them are being fliped 90 degrees.
I'm confused?? Where did you ask me for information? I clicked on the Premiere Pro Pedia Lik you attached and it rambled on and on about windows stuff... Is that what your talking about?
At the end of all that there were a list of questions about my computer. The only thing I know about my computer is this:
Its a Macbook Pro 2.6Ghz ntel Core 2 Duo 4 gb 667 Mhz DDR2 sdram
I have the adobe premiere pro CS3 creative suite package.
I'm not sure how this info will help your tell me why half of my photos are being imported sideways......or how do I turn them 90 degrees.???
I dont mean to sound rude or unappreciative. I just started trying to edit all my photos in premire and cant even get to the first step.
Does anyone know of any better technical support service other then adobes $175. for 5 questions asked program or their $1,200.00 technical support program?
Update... I just took one of the photos that was side coming up sideways in premiere and saved the original as a photoshop file. then imported it directly into premeire. this time the photo imported properly???? Does this mean I should not be saving all my photos I'm scanning in as Jpg's ??? Does Premiere pro have problems with jpeg files????
I have imported hundreds of jpegs and never seen one come in sideways .
Suggest that it has something to do with your scanning process.
My guess is that not many people around here have experience with Premiere Pro on a Mac. Some, but not many.
And if none of the PC folks have seen the problem, it is most likely Mac related.
Macs dont have problems so wash your mouth out immediately.
I am having the same problem when I try to make a slide show into a DVD tah twill play on TV so I hope someone has an answer.
