I did some further testing, it it seems that, when before I had to shift the dialog audio clips 5 frames
i forward to match the video--I would now have to pull them about 2-3 frames
i backwards from their initial position...
How can the sync ratio keep changing once the file is already captured onto the computer--unless the software keeps somehow reinterpreting it, thereby constantly manipulating the original file...???
Any help would be much appreciated.
If you are lucky, you might still find a CS2 version in the project-archive folder off your project folder.
>whatever they did to fix the sync bug in 3.2.0, it has now skewed once again my manually adjusted' sync?
That is exactly what happened. The 3.2 update 'corrected' your already 'corrected' footage, now you'll need to go through and 'uncorrect it'.
Thanks David, I did manage to find a 2.0 cut in the auto-save folder (unfortunately, it's I corrected the sync, so I'll have to redo it...)
Jim, I'm not sure that's the case--when before the upgrade the audio was 5 frames in delay; it now seems to be about 5 frames laid back...
Also, how could 3.2.0 fix it without reconforming the existing clips, or have me properly recapture the footage?
That's a tough one for me to answer, as I don't use HDV myself. I was going off the reported experience of others with the same issue after applying the 3.2 update.
