You can't do what you want, except the way you already know.
Big thanks for replying Jim, now I know.
You can change the duration of individual stills in the project window, but not multiple stills in one go.
Sounds like a candidate for a feature request.
Ah, it sure is a candidate!
In the audio sequencer Cakewalk Sonar there's a feature to adjust the length of selected (single/multiple) clips. You can select a percentage and then select if it's to affect the duration of clips or the start times, or both. (Both is great if you want to shorten them and still have them stay adjacent.)
So, a feature request it is! :)
Meanwhile, I'd suggest Adobe to take a good look at popular audio sequencers, there's _a lot_ of great & convenient features to mimic...
There are many right click options that one can apply only to a single clip at a time and which do not Copy/Paste onto other clips. That is indeed a situation that could use correction.
Have you tried changing one clip, copying the attributes of this and then just pasting them into the other clips? If this works as I would anticipate it would, that's got to be quicker than re importing everything.
Paste Attributes only works for applied effects from the bin, not for any right click options.
