A file with an .m1v extension is a video-only MPEG-1 file. If that is what you wanted as output, but with a different extension you can simply change it in Windows Explorer/My Computer.
If you want an MPEG file which has both video and audio on it you have to enable multiplexing in the export settings.
i am runnin the output on a media player so i dont need sound as they are in a window. However i tried changing them to mpeg in explorer but when i do the media player doesnt recognise them as mpeg and wont play them.
Thanks for your help by the way!
Can you be more specific about the media player? Which brand and type? Does its documentation specify the details of the MPEG file it will accept?
Export an MPEG2 file, not an MPEG2-DVD file.
