Uninstalling Premiere won't do anything to your project files. If you mean that you wiped the hard drive and reinstalled Windows from scratch, then you're pretty much screwed.
Well that's good news. Where the files saved, then? I had simply been saving them to the default folder that Premiere gave me as I had no reason to save them elsewhere and I didn't pay attention to the folder. Thanks for the response.
If you done a clean install of the system (reinstalled windows) and all Premiere files are installed in the default folder which is My Documents which is on the C-drive: there gone.
When doing a clean install always move My Documents to another drive, don't leave it on the C-drive.
Then on the other hand you do not save your projects to My Documents but to a special assigned A/V scratch disk.
do a search for you project (*.prprog)
Just curious... why would an uninstall of Premiere wipe out any "project" files? I've never done it so I don't know.
I just can't picture uninstalling something like Mircosoft Office (which I've done) and losing all my documents I ever created with it regardless of where they were saved.
