Well... how about asking in the Reader forum?
I downloaded Reader 9 to check this out.
I am able to play the Clip Notes video, but I have to click past an error message that says
>This document enables Reader capabilities that are no longer enables in this Reader version.
Edit: It looks like the user can no longer edit the file and save it. And the timecode is terribly broken. This means death to Clip Notes until fixed.
Huh, that would explain the sudden complaints from my clients...I thought they just didn't like the WMV on their fancy-pants Macs, but QT was still giving them headaches. Sheesh....
The feature is still in Reader, but apparently our template uses an older version of the feature. So all Adobe would have to do is fix the template.
Maybe they would be willing to do that once enough people complain.
Dang, the guys in the Acrobat Development building must not talk to their counter-parts in the Premiere Development building. Sounds like it's time for some lunchbreaks in a common room for a bit. Maybe a team-building sessions in the woods...
Glad to know of this one, before it bit me!
The tech support guys at Adobe are aware of this now, and will look into it. The are not the software engineers, but I think they may be the right guys to solve this particular problem.
