Yes...Matrox is involved.
On every question from now till you get rid of Matrox, you should post that in the original question. It is always relevant.
First, I would ask if you still are using the Matrox. If not, then that's why it doesn't work, as I assume the old projects did use it.
Next I would ask if you have updated to the newest CS3 driver for the Matrox hardware, which I believe can only be done for the X2. The X.100 can't be properly used with CS3, which means older X.100 projects can't properly be opened in CS3.
Your last sentence hit the nail on the head. This question was probably better posed on a Matrox board. These were X.100 projects trying to go to CS3 and X2...
