Premiere only captures through firewire.
Premiere won't use that card. Normally you'd just hook up your DV camera via Firewire. For analog capture, you can often use the camera as a pass-through device, or you can get something like the ADVC-110 from Canopus.
I was wondering about that since the help files states that you can digitize using an analog card. It also mentions something about choosing the correct setting when creating a new project.
In all reality, I can get away with using the nero program, but thought I might be able to eliminate that step. So if I can't, no big deal.

An analog card whose manufacturer provides drivers for PPro to use said card. Without those drivers PPro has no idea the card exists. It's the same with the operating system.
