What do you think?
Hi Harm (sighhhhh!),
I know what it literally means but no idea how to fix it. Or what the writer really is.
Are you exporting as .wmv? i ask because I can't tell if the Cineform HD 30p preset is your project setting or your export setting.
The cineform is the 30 preset for my project.
The export is .wmv (30p) 1440 x 1080 (1.33).
It only happens with .wmv
Sorry for the confusion.
I am using Vista if that makes a difference.
Have you installed anything CS4 at all? Even a public beta of Soundbooth or some other non-Premiere component?
I never did find out what I installed that trashed .wmv export for me in Pr CS3 on my old XP system. Maybe it was the beta of Sb or maybe it was the free stand-alone Microsoft Windows Media Encoder.
Anyway, a full uninstall and reinstall of CS3 will likely fix the problem, but I can't say for sure because I never got around to doing it. I used the MS Windows Media Encoder until I could load CS3 on my new system (dual-boot XP32 with Vista64).
EDIT: All is well with .wmv export on the new system. No CS4 on XP32 and no WME there, either.
Yes, I tried the CS4 PP trial version.
I uninstalled it a few weeks ago though.
I am pretty sure I tried the wmv export after that.
The error started happening last night.
See now I would have guessed that the error meant the DVD burner was inaccessible. That doesn't fit with a .wmv export, though.
