I can't answer your question, but I can recommend that next time a question like this be answered before you shoot.
Thank you Mr. Obvious,
Can anyone recommend what settings to use in my given situation?
Obviously match your camera settings.
One would think so, yet here you are asking the question after the fact.
Jim- I'm not asking for someone to turn my 24F footage into something else... I'm asking if someone can recommend the optimum settings to make the best of the footage... You've said yourself that you cannot answer the question, so move on buddy.

Understood. I'm suggesting things like this be answered before you shoot. I suggest this for two reasons. One, though you would think it was obvious, you didn't do it. And two, if I recall correctly, there are issues with this format from the Canons and you may not be able to get it working right, and if you had known that in advance, you would not have shot in that format.
This may not help now, but it well could in the future.
Look on the HV20/HV30 Forum. I am fairly sure I have seen the settings there.
