You can, but in rather small portions. A DVD holds about 18 minutes of DV video. Using an external harddisk would be more comfortable and less time-consuming.
MovieMaker produces type 1 DV AVI files which Premiere isn't too happy with. You would have to convert them to type 2 files first. A better option would to use something like WinDV (free) or Scenalyzer (not free, but more features).
Your best bet is to buy a FW 400 - ExpressCard adapter. That gives you the required firewire adapter in the ExpressCard slot and you can capture directly with PP, although Ruud's suggestion to do your capturing with ScenalyzerLive is one that I second.
I agree with Harm. Get the required Firwire plug-in card and make your life easy.
