I just purchased a Panasonic AGDV1000 to use as my MiniDV vcr. My issue is that I have intermittent audio "distortions" that appear throughout captured video. I have examined the imported audio in Audition and there are no clipping points or any obvious or overt audio anomalies. I shoot on Canon GL1's with Sony MiniDV tapes. Any problems with this combination of hardware observed by anyone else? Areas I can check? Thanks.
I did zoom in on the wave, and I can't see any spiking...I will look again closely just to be sure. As for the camera, I always use 16 bit audio as my bit depth. It seems that one of my other GL1's is NOT distorting-that would leave two others that are. I will check those tapes as well. All cameras have the same settings in relation to audio. Thanks for any and all help.
