FireWire (a.k.a. "IEEE 1394" or "i.Link") is the only thing Premiere connects with. :)
Also with 'firewire' the software can control the camera.
I would try using a USB connection with iMovie but I can't find the lead and anyway the instructions from Adobe say it should work with the firewire lead.
I am waiting for a reply from Sony support and will post if it's of any interest when I get it.
SO nothing interesting from Sony. They just said they make their stuff windows compatible and don't know anything about Mac.
SO I'm relying on you guys.

Suddenly I'm a Sony fan.
Now if only external hard drive makers, Firestore, and P2 card makers could take this as a lesson and implement the vastly superior NTFS file system rather than the vastly inferior FAT32 file system...
First it was Vista, then CS4, now it's Sony! I guess that this is "change we can believe in... " Are your Pannies going on eBay? [Grin]
Not 'til the Scarlet can actually be purchased.
