    PPro 2 Export Quicktime

I've got an HDV project (1440 x 1080) and I'm trying to export to Quicktime (CS2 on PC) and when I open the QT file, it looks 4:3 and not widescreen. When I take that file and put it back into PPro 2 or AE, it looks fine.
      Any ideas why that is?
QT Movie Inspector says its 1440x1080, but doesn't look like it.

This is a QT issue, I found the answer: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=QuickTime%20Player%20Win/7.0/en/c3qt22.html

I used to get this problem when exporting to QT. I'm not an expert but I think the following is the problem

1440 x 1080 is a 4:3 aspect (divide 4 by 3 and you get 1.333333 divide 1440 x 1080 and you get the same) the problem is that the pixels in 1440 x 1080 format are anamorphic (squeezed into the 4:3 space during recording to the camera). On playback they are expanded to fit the 1920 X 1080 aspect of HD footage (pretty much the same as happens with SD widescreen). The problem with quicktime is that it doesn't always understand the tag in the file that says it is anamorphic and so plays it back as it is 1440 x 1080 which is 4:3 aspect). If you divide 16 by 9 or 1920 by 1080 you get 1.777778 HD footage is in 16:9 aspect ratio. I think you wil find that if during export to QT you stretch your footage from 1440 to 1920 and leave the 1080 settings your video will look fine because QT will stretch it back to it's correct aspect (this is pretty much what your other software is doing).
