    CPU max

      Hey all,
I've just recently started to do some DV editing. Premiere Pro CS3 seems like the progaram for me and I've had some satisfying results. The only thing is I'm a little worried on my CPU's behalf. My CPU monitor maxes out and runs over when playing back. I've a 2.66ghz single core and 2gb ram. It doesn't seem to cause any ill effects though. When audio apps are pushing my rescources the cooling fan runs, and my lappy heats up. Funnily enough this doesn't happen with Premiere. Can I ignore the CPU usage or is it time to get a new machine? I'm using WinXP Pro. Any help would be much appreciated, cheers, nix

There are several message threads in the Hardware section of the old forum that have to do with upgrading to CS3... you might read there
