Yes I use SATA2 racks for removing and changing drives... they are plastic racks (but high quality plastic racks)... there is no raid installed.
I noticed that every so often when I insert a rack, I get very slow performance drive speed (rendering takes forever and response time is slow). It's odd because sometimes it works fine and later it's slow. This has nothing to do with a specific rack or a specific disk because I get the same result with various drives and Racks and on various insert places.
QUESTION: Are racks sometimes unreliable in connecting the SATA to the hard drive and... will metal racks solve this problem? Has anybody else here something to share on this subject?
Thank you and may the force be with you. Off topic responses will not be tolerated... and that includes Schweppervesense questions..
