If you look on most DVD's due to MPEG compression dissolves aren't always super smooth.
Perhaps your bit rate is too low and could be causing this.

I encoded at High quality. The pixelation is far worse than I ever encountered on PP 2.0
What exact settings?
I would guess you are using variable bit rate, with a really low point like 1 and high like 7. I would use a constant bit rate of 6 or higher.The Variable always uses a lower bit rate on trans and you will see pixelations during this.
You're right, the settings are...
Bitrate encoding = VBR, 2 Pass
Minimum Mbps = 1.5
Target Mbps = 4
Max Mbps = 7
I'll try the next one with a CBR, Should I set Mbps to the highest, i.e 9?
