guess its NOT easy after all... ended up re-digitizing with the outboard analog mixer in mono... just wanted to combine a left channel audio with a right channel silence to make one mono channel... this is sooooooo simple and easy in Avid!
Yes, I did search the help sections... didn't figure out how to do this in Soundbooth, either... just shouldn't be this hard.
Fill Left. Look it up.
It should be pretty easy. Try the "Fill Left" Audio Effect. That duplicates the audio information in the Left Channel and duplicates it in the Right Channel. The result is a stereo clip with the Left Channel information in both channels.
...and Jim beats me to it again. :)
you mean "look it up in the help"? If so, I did for a long time. Maybe they need to make the help more clearer if that is what you are referring to.

Fill Left, Fill Right effects
The Fill Left effect duplicates the left channel information of the audio clip and places it in the right channel, discarding the original clips right channel information. The Fill Right effect duplicates the right channel information and places it in the left channel, discarding the existing left channel information. Apply to stereo audio clips only.
Seems pretty clear to me.
