I have in a timeline (Adobe Première CS3)of about one hour, 4 videotransitions (cross dissolve, maximum 20 sec!).
When I ask for rendering (hit enter) a pop-up screen tells me: Progress, rendering 1 of 4 audiotransitions; estimated time left: about 15 minutes.
This can not be correct. What am I doing wrong?
Thank you very much,
when you hit enter, the system renders everything within the work area bar. That includes all video and audio tracks under the work area.
Make sure the work area bar spans just the area you want to render. Selecting a transition, video or audio clip only will do nothing.
When you attach a transition, the entire video sometimes requires rendering. That is why I often cut just around the transition so that only that area needs rendering.

My man... that's a lot of work, especially if you have hundreds of transitions, and not all that necessary.
I would just narrow the work area bar around the transition if you need to see it rendered.
I'll have to check or you can give me an example of a transition causing the surrounding clips to go from gree to red. The only time a clip goes red on me is when i import the wrong format or i insert an effect but not a transition.
