What do you expect when going from 1440x1080 to 720x576? Of course the pixels get larger. Why use upper field first on a SD DV project? SD DV is lower field.
Thanks for your reply. Yes that's right. But in CS2 the lose of quality was much smaller then in CS3. The clip was after scaling to 53.3% still useful. That can't be the problem.
I thought thath SD DV is upper field?
HDV is UFF, SD is LFF.
If I'm not mistaken, most HDV cameras will do a down sampling via Firewire, so the better option may be to capture your HDV source as DV media for editing - especially if DVD is the final destination.
