File a feature request! If people do not, then Adobe assumes nobody wants it and will not add it!
Adobe has different products for different target buyers
P-Elements, as mentioned by Jeff, is Adobe's solution for consumer file formats
P-Pro is their solution for professional file formats
File all the feature requests you want... and they may work... but since P-Pro is at version 3 and P-Elements is at version 4 now, I really doubt Adobe is going to change their programming and marketing style at this point
Ok, I have put a feature request in.
Its a bit of a let down to now have to get elements to work with this format. I think Adobe will fix this in the future as it becomes more popular.

I doubt it will ever become popular as a professional video format.
