I bought a Matrox Parhelia APVe to do that job and I am pretty happy with it. I need to replace it because I need to put something else into that slot so I ordered another card without HDTV output (the other card going into that slot is the AJA XENA LHe which will do the HD output for me).
If you are interested in buying a Parhelia, let me know.
Thanks Steve. I think I will look around a bit before taking the plunge. Do you know what brands besides Matrox have hi end cards with HDTV out (Digital plug to HDMI out is what I'm looking for). I can't believe that the Nvidia 8800 GTX is the latest/greatest they have, has all the right outputs, but the GPU is disabled for video mirroring, and they don't say that.
Have you checked out the NVidia Quadro FX-560?
Steve- I was looking at the Matrox site- it looks like your card is the only Parhelia with true native PCIe 16.
How old is it and how much do you want for it??
Do you think that having only 128 meg on board will be a problem for Adobe CS3 and HDV/Cineform editing?
Send me an email via my site. We should not do this on the forum.
However, I have not had any problem with the Matrox because I use Cineform Aspect HD which does not use the GPU enhanced effects anyway.
ok, so how long does it take to get the email after you register your product. I did it like 3 times and still no email.

Maybe they do it manually and because of the weekend haven't processed it yet?
sorry, didnt mean to hijack the thread :)

Took about 15 minutes for me
I did registered again. i dont want to have to call tech support but i feel like I am going to have to. :(
>What is a good hi end graphics card that will do full screen video mirroring on a HDTV monitor.
What does this mean?
>My new Quad system has a Nvidea 8800 GTX. Now I discover that none of the Nvidea 8 series cards will do direct show full screen TV output. This fact is very deeply buried, which is super annoying.
This is the exact card I am thinking about purchasing, the 8800 GTS with 320MB mem. I currently have the Matrox Parhelia 3-head card. I am getting strange streaking on my video display and I cannot get the timeline to output through my new Canopus converter box. I think it may be video card-related.
I finally got rid of my Matrox RTX10 capture card and drivers and almost all of the STOP ERROR and other problems I had have vanished. Premire CS3 seems to now be stable and renders titles reasonably quickly.
Does anyone here have any reason to believe the Parhilia APVe is a problem child (even though it only has about 128 MB of memory)?
Jeez, even my old, cheap 7 series card would do this.
Would appreciate any help.
