Coming from a DVD, you're limited to 720 x 486. You will have to hook up a computer for this type of odd sized playback.
Actually, we're going to create the video I was wonderring if we could use this program to export it with a black background and a 196x196 video located on that background? I know I'm not making much sense, but my boss has spoken so I'm off to find a way to make it happen. Thanks again for any help.
Click on the clip in the timeline and reduce the "scale" in the "Effect Controls" panel. As long as there is nothing on a track below the clip you will automatically get a black border.
