Could some one with more experience give me a few clues as to the best way to synchronize a video file with a separate audio file of the same event. I captured the video from a VHS tape and the audio from a stereo cassette tape. When I line up the wave forms I can see that the timing is different for the video audio and the separate audio. Please advise. I'm using Premiere Pro CS3 for Windows.
Both type of tape stretch a bit, but not exactly the same. If you are saying that they don't match, that isn't a shock. You may just have to adjust the audio tape version with the VHS version as best you can. With look, you can change the duration a very small amount and match it all up.
