Yes, it needs a number of fixes, but Adobe doesn't announce upgrade dates--usually about a day's notice, if that.
Word is an update is expected next month, but there is nothing official from Adobe yet.
>How much testing was done on full length 30+ minute projects?
I tested a multicamera 100+ minute DV project and had no problems. In fact, the project exported better from CS4 than in did from 2.0.
How many files were in the project? I have often suspected the length of the sequence is not so much the problem on big projects, as the number of files.
280 DV clips totaling about 6 hours worth, plus a dozen or so audio clips, graphics, titles, 3 layers of nesting, multiple effects, 3 camera multicam sequences.
I just completed a 3-camera multicam edit in native HDV without any crashes. The project probably has around 80-100 HDV clips (5-6 hours of footage), with the main timeline about 80 minutes long. It has many nested sequences, effects, transitions, color correction, etc.
I'm running a Intel i7 920 quad-core w/3GB DDR3 RAM. I agree with Jim about exporting; all four cores always run near 100%.
What are your system specs? Did/do you have previous versions of CS installed?
