    Resizing a Track Matte

    ytlevine Level 1
I am using a track matte to show the lower track through a psd file.
I want to resize and move the video that is showing through, however anytime I try to change that clip, the whole matte (the psd track too) resizes or moves.
      Any solutions?
      Thanks.

Nest the video that appears in the matte, and then animate the video in the child sequence. By child sequence, I mean the one that now holds the video clip.

But I only want to resize the video clip that shows through, and I want the shape to stay the same size...
            It will work?

Yes. Don't include the track matte PSD in the nest. It should originally look like this:

              V3 Track Matte PSD
V2 Video clip to be matted (nest this, without the Track Matte effect)
              V1 Background

              So it looks like this:

              V3 Track matte PSD
V2 Nested sequence (apply Track Matte effect to this nest)
              V1 Background

Now you can open the V2 Nested Sequence on its own and alter its properties/animate it. Those effects and parameters are then independent of the track matte happening in the original sequence.
