    Playing back and video quality

    (Al_Why)
I installed premiere CS4 recently after using premiere CS3 for a long time.
CS3 performed flawlessly but I like some of the issues fixed in CS4.
However, I cannot to seem to make it perform like CS3.

Playing back XDCAM-EX video is not smooth, previewing 50i DV video outputs poor quality (highly pixelated) even XVID video is played back at about 3fps.
It's like it's not using my graphics card but rather some really bad software acceleration.
CS3 did not have these issues at all.

I know my system isn't the greatest but it should be more than enough for DV (SD) editing.

If anyone has any idea what's causing this I would really like to know.
      Thanks.
