Xvid is for watching, not editing. Try with editable material if that works.

Thanks a lot for your fast answers. I'm gonna try directly with mpeg-2 format. That makes me wondering is Pr capable of managing directly a vob file ?

Another poor choice. Try and stick with DV media you captured yourself from a tape based DV camera.
My Cam is DVD-CAM ...yeah I know another poor choice :).....so I got it directly in MPEG-2
Jim may I ask you what format do you recommend to choose to edit ?
I just got my answer in the FAQ page written higher.
Use a program like River Past Video Cleaner Pro to convert almost type file to AVI. Use settings "AVI - Audio Video Interleave" and under compressor use "DV Video Encoder" setting, with 720x480.
Thanx Kent. In fact I practically did what you said. I re named my files extension into mpg and then convert them into Media Encoder into DV format. So the editing/viewing in both monitor/sequence panels works just fine !
