BTW, it's great that you can go into the queue, duplicate a previous render, then change the format/preset. You know you're rendering the same content except for these changes.
The render fails when the format is Quicktime. I've tried using the default preset (NTSC/DV with the DV/DVCPRO - NTSC video codec) and changing the video codec to H.264.
What version of QT do you have on your system? Can you update to the latest and do you still see the problem? Also, can you try importing any DV file directly to AME and then encoding to QT, does this work?
Thanks! This was fixed by upgrading to Quicktime 7.5.5. Yay!
Just seen this post as I am having the same problem - I export to media encoder in quicktime format then start the queue in media encoder. The encoder inports the project then just appears with a green tick about 10 seconds later. But nothing created in the destination folder. I have updated quicktime (i actually have quicktime pro) but no solution.
any advice would be appreciated
Things have been working pretty well with the 4.01 upgrade.
The Media Encoder has crashed a few times while setting up a new render. I restart Premiere Pro, and the Encoder works on the second try.
(Note: always save the project before you export.)

Very good advice.
I would also say, save your project after any edit that you feel you can't afford to lose.

And when you make a change to the project that would be tedious or downright impossible to re-create, version it.
I am having the exact same problem on my computer as well. Did anyone ever find a solution. I have tried using QT 7.5.5 and that did not help.
IIRC, QT is up to 7.6.2 now. Check the Apple site. There were issues with the 7.4.x releases (a couple of them), but 7.5.5 seemed to be pretty stable and solved many Adobe issues. Still, some reported problems with it too.
