It is easy to do that in CS4 from the timeline. Flash Markers.
Not sure about CS3
(This is the CS4 Forum)
oops apologies Craig,
I have CS4 but just not installed it yet.
I'm in the middle of a CS3 project and I tought installing CS4 would probably screw up that project!
So, in CS4 all you do is put some sort of flash marker on the timeline?
Do you have to export with any special settings? alpha etc?
My first times exporting to flash you see!!
You can Install CS4 without uninstalling CS3. No problems at all.
I would not recommend finishing your project in the one you started in although I have converted some from CS3 to CS4 (after I finished them)
There is a Flash Timeline Marker in CS4 and AME recognises them for Flash encodes
AME can encode flv with or without alpha. It is works a treat.
You can then open flv in Adobe Flash and exporta movie as swf if that is what you require.
Did you mean you WOULD recommend finishing CS3 project first?
Sorry to ask a really silly question but as I said I'm really new to this! I made a test project in 25p and then exported to flash via AME.
If I am giving these files for people to put on websites- what do i give them? .flv files or .swf files?
Do I have to export from CS3/4 via AME to .flv then open in Adobe Flash to then convert to .swf?
Sorry if this off topic but it does all come from Cs3/Cs4
Meant to say - "finish in what you started in"
You may need to ask those who are putting up the files to what they need or want.
You could always export avi from CS3/4 and open it in Flash if you want to make a swf.
There are many ways to skin this cat.
I usually work backwards from what the final requirement is. This gives the path to follow.
Thank for the replies!
