Hi, I am using Premiere Elements but need to upgrade to something more fully featured. Elements does not keep relative position of clips across tracks when moving a clip. If you have three clips across three tracks and drag the leftmost clip further left, its relative position to the other clips is lost. They move exactly the length of the dragged clip, regardless of how far that clip was dragged. Does anyone here know if Premiere Pro exhibits the same behaviour? And if so, why is that desirable? It seems wrong to me, but there might be a very good reason not to preserve relative position that professional editors understand.
Thanks Craig - not sure what ShiftClick does (edit: now I do), but I can lasso all the clips and shift. But that does not achieve the functionality I am looking for. I want to be able to drag a clip and everything to the right moves exactly the same amount ie relative positions are preserved.
Having to lasso everything to the right is clumsy as I have to expand the view out so that the entire project is visible, lasso everything to the right, then zoom back in to where I want to edit, then drag.
What I want is a function/keystroke that selects everything to the right of the clip I click on
