I recently imported a film that is about an hour and half in length onto Premiere Pro CS3. When I imported, the video track appeared and works perfectly but the audio track is missing. The Properties suggest that there is an audio track and Audio 1 is a light gray indicating that the track should be there. What is going on?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Below are the specs of the audio track.
Audio track 1:
Size is 77.16M bytes
Rate is 48000 samples/sec
Sample size is 16 bits
Compatible compressor: MPEG Layer-3 Codec
Compression ratio is 12.00:1
Premiere is a professional level editor and has a tendency to work best with professional level media from cameras. That the audio in your file is .mp3 suggests you're trying to use a clip that was maybe downloaded from the Internet or recorded on a DVR and is just not intended to be edited.
