I have recently downloaded Adobe Premiere Elements 4 and am new to using this software.
The problem I am having is that when I export my completed video it is not in the 16:9 format that it should be in. The project settings are set to NTSC 16:9 widescreen, when I go to export the video I set the pixel aspect ratio to D1/DV NTSC Widescreen 16:9 and the original source video is a 16:9 format and appears as such in the preview window yet when the video is created the black letterbox that appears in the preview window is now at the side of the video squashing it into a 4:3 format.
I've tried saving it as Microsoft DV AVI, Microsoft AVI and Quicktime. Then in the Video settings for the AVI files I have set the Compressor to DV NTSC and the Pixel Aspect Ratio to D1/DV NTSC Widescreen 16:9 (1.2) or HD Anamorphic 1080 (1.333), and the Quicktime video settings as MPEG-4 Video and the same widescreen ratio but everytime the video is squashed into a 4:3 format.
