    Date formatter question

    Jihaes
I've debugged through the datefomatter to see how it parsed the date and it seemed like it doesnt know how to differenciate between the month and date if there's a day that is 12 and under. So if I had a date 08/11/2008 (as in MM/DD/YYYY), it and I have formatstring as DD.MM.YYYY, it takes 8 as D and 11 as MM so that if I were trying to localize the date format in european format, it comes out wrong.

Also, I know this is a known issue, but is there any plan on fixing so we can use dashes in date format? For asian language? they look like YYYY-MM-DD. Or is there a workaround? Cause when I try to format using that string, it returns date as null.
      Thanks
