Is there a pattern to which images displayed and which did not? Was there anything common to the ones that did not display, like a Transition? What was the size of the Assets? Were they sized, per the FAQ, or were they larger than suggested?
I cannot detect a pattern, all photos had the same transition....but I did not check size. let me go to FAQs and read
Looks like frame size is the problem, thanks
Yes high resolution photos give this effect. They need to be resized.
Glad you got it figured out. If you have Photoshop (I think PS Elements has Actions too), you can basically do a "batch re-size" by creating an Action with Image>Size>[necessary settings] and then do an Automate on your folder. Takes the pain out of the operation.
Photoshop Elements does not allow the user to create Actions.
However it does have 2 choices for resizing
--In the Editor workspace of PSE, there is a Process Multiple Files command that supports resizing as one of its options
-- In the Organizer workspace of PSE, the File > Export command has optional parameters for resizing.
Thanks for that info. Before I spouted off about using them, I should have checked the application list, especially as compared to the full PS versions that I use.
Good to know that there are other ways of doing this, especially as it so often necessary to use the stills in a video, and automation would enhance every user's workflow greatly.
Appreciate the knowledge. I'm still learning my way around PE, coming from P-Pro/Encore, and did not bother getting PSE, since I've used PS from the moment that it hit the PC, so very, very long ago.
