It is in pre-sale now. Projected delivery is Oct, but I suppose that could change.
There are some threads on this forum, and also a PE7 sub-forum on:
The "skipped versions," were a move by marketing to bring PE & PSE onto the same version #. Initially, this will cause confusion. In a little time, it will be a good thing.
Steve Grisetti is doing an article on it. Do not know what his schedule for posting it is. All I have seen have been very light over-views, that seem based on the Adobe press releases and the info on the Adobe site.
So far, there are more questions, than answers, but it seems that many strides have been made to accommodate more recently released consumer video cameras.
When Steve is done, I'm sure we will all know much more. Do not know if he's working from a beta release, or a pre-release of the finished product.
Wow! The third thread with this same announcement!
Oh well. Here's the link to my article again.
It's a free download.
With my new Panasonic Full HD Camera (HDC SD9) it is not possible to load the files from the camera into Premiere Elements 4. Who can help?
Is this problem solved in version 7? Who knows?
PE4 does not handle AVCHD files. In the press releases it says PE7 does.
Will Muvipix be taking preorders or involved in sales at all?
It looks like you are the "man of the hour." People are lining up to see your review! I think you have stolen some of Sen. Obama's "thunder."
Apparently, there are many interested in a new PE, especially if it can handle AVCHD files.
Thanks for posting that full link. I was on a different machine, when I posted, and only had the Muvpix main site URL.
Muvipix can't take pre-orders, but you can pre-order from Adobe and get free shipping!
Meantime, if I'm stealing thunder from both major political conventions, maybe I'd better keep a lower profile. ;)
In Adobe's announcement of Premiere Elements 7, there is mention of a book titled "Premiere Elements 7: The Missing Manual" due out around the holidays.
Who is authoring that book, SG, CE, or Barbara Brundage?
No. The Missing Manual isn't by one of the forum regulars. That's a product of O'Reilly Press, I believe.
My book is called "The Muvipix Guide to Premiere Elements 7".
