What is an Intervideo Media File and how did you get it into your computer?
Premiere Elements is not a file convertor. In fact, although it can output a variety of formats from a variety of formats, converting files is probably the thing it does the worst.
A better candidate would be a program like Super.
If you're using one of the DVD products you may have to convert the files to DV-AVI with Super or some other product as steve suggested. I like to use mpegStreamclip for that.
It looks like something that has been picked up by Corel. Do not know what it was, but its link: http://www.intervideo.com/jsp/Home.jsp
now goes to a Corel site.
Yes, Intervideo gobbled up Ulead and then Corel gobbled up Intervideo.
So Intervideo, Ulead and PaintShop Pro are all now Corel companies. I'm waiting for Adobe to gobble Corel or vice versa and Microsoft to gobble up everybody.
And then Google will eat whatever else survives!
I transfered this file from my old 8mm via Plextor digital convertor by using InterVideo software. Now , I have this file and question is can PE4 edit this file ( I think it is mpeg2, Windvd).Thanks.
In a word, no. That convertor creates files that are made to be edited pretty much exclusively with the software that came with it.
This particular device, in fact, is pretty much made to go directly from capture to DVD with minimal editing. It's not a good capture device for video you want to do any real editing with.
Please advise any device should I use. I have a lot of my children 8mm video tapes need to transfer to DVD before my camcorder die.
>Please let me know, it is possible to convert Intervideo Media File into PE 4?
If you have any version of WinDVD Creator, or even Windows Movie Maker, you can export those files as a DV-AVI, which can be imported int Pre El.
Also, a FAQs recommend these analog capture devices which will work with Premiere Elements.
Thank you all.
