Make sure you've got Vista SP1 and that you've updated all of your firmware, including Quictime.
Also, tune up your computer.
And optimize your Vista for video editing.

Hi - Thanks for that, I followed the above instructions and after 6 hours of changing software and re-configuring the computer - I still have the same problem!
You obviously have problems more serious than we can solve on this forum, Anthony. I recommend you contact Adobe Tech Support.
