Ive just completed a short three minute movie and I am having an impossible time trying to exporting it to a web site. I would like it to be viewed in a Windows environment rather than QuickTime.
I believe that I accurately provided the correct server, port, directory, file name, user name and password information as called for in the Location and Settings dialogue box. After uploading to my server, it looked like a .flv file was created.
However, when I made a link to the .flv file (Im using Dreamweaver MX2004 and Premiere Elements 4 software), the resulting web page was a bunch of gibberish. I would like to know what I am doing wrong.
For me, Dreamweaver is a very difficult program to understand and I don't have the slightest clue on how to embed a Flash player on a web page. I also am at a loss as to how to save a project made in PE4 as a WMV file. When I save my project, it appears that PE4 saves it as a .prel file.
Perhaps I'm confusing things, but I really am totally lost here.
