Title Templates - How do you edit them?

    Level 1
      Hi again,
I tried to use memories_frame title template on a clip. The manual says on page 201 that you can EASILY change every text or graphic in the template. I followed what they said but could not change anything but the text. What I wanted to do was enlarge the black window (which is a transparent box allowing the people on the clip to appear in the window) because it covered the face of one of the people. Any suggestions?

Also, on another clip I used from memories template called family tree_frame I added additional text but could not figure out how to get it to follow a half circle path. I wanted the text to wrap around the bottom half of the transparent frame like a half circle. HELP

Also, what is the book by STEVE that I have read mentioned in different posts? When I google books to help with APE4 I get zilch. Thanks again. Aliza

If, after you've applied a template, you click on the arrow at the top of the title toolbar (on the Monitor), you'll be able to click on the individual graphics, resize them and move them. That may help.

Otherwise, I'm not sure how you'll get to them.

And, hey! Thanks for asking about my book!

It's available on Amazon. You can find it by doing a search on my name or Muvipix or Premiere Elements 7 -- or you can buy it through the Muvipix.com store at:

Also You could add and remove images from within a title template using the add image feature. It is mall icon right next to the Roll/Crawl option Icon.

Your help info is not info at all but answering a particular question. What I need is info in using a particular feature, in depth.

I've written two books and I contribute regular how-to articles to http://www.muvipix.com.

Premiere Elements 2 In a Snap, which I wrote with Chuck Engels, has over 125 step by step instructions for doing everything from basics, like capturing and editing, to creating effects like Star Wars opening titles and making a person appear to fly. It's technically out of print, but is still available on Amazon.com and through the Muvipix store:
                http://muvipix.com/products.php?subcat_id=22

The new book, The Muvipix.com Guide to Premiere Elements 7, is a tour of virtually every tool in the program and how to use them. It's available at Amazon.com or the Muvipix store:
