Of course. It's a function called keyframing, and it's the key to a lot of this program's deeper features.

Bear in mind that if you zoom in the quality will drop as the number of source pixels drops. If you are starting off with HD, the effect will be less noticeable, of course. Moral: don't zoom in too much.
