Clips all out of order in PE 3

I capture video clips in PE 3, no problem there. But the next time I open up the program, most of the files in the "bin" are not in chronological order. And some clips that were chronologically shot back to back, even have very different numbering. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

By clicking on any of the column headers in the project media panel, you can re-order the clips in a variety of ways -- by name, by length, etc. And, if you look under the >> (More) menu in the upper right corner of the panel, you'll find the option to add more columns, including Media Start, which will order your clips according to the timecode on the original tape.
