Another problem... what format is the video?
I've tried any, from full HD to the smallest size. All the same problem.
I find it strange that it imports only half of the sound track.
The video I've been using recently if PAL, Normal size (so no HD).
So say the format is MPEG4... can you be more specific on the video codec? What model is the camcorder?
It's a Sanyo VPC-HD1010 (French model); It's Full HD 1920 x 1080, and haven't got the foggiest idea about the codex, since I'm a newbie in terms of video.
As I said, it's strange that I imports half of the sound. That's why I thought it might be related to being a trial version, but I go no help from Adobe when I asked if it was.
It is not a limitation of the trial version. I downloaded a few video samples, although they are only a minute long, and had no problmes with the audio (which is mp4a: MPEG-4 AAC LC). Have you tried other clips? Perhaps it is just a problem with this clip.
Thanks Paul, Yes, I've tried about 20 different clips. I thought initially it was a problem with the camera. But then, the clips play fine directly on the computer.
I read somewhere that you needed Quicktime for Adobe PRE, so re-installed that. Nothing helps.
And then in desperation, I converted the MPG4 to different formats (avi, etc) and there the sound works, but there's a heavy humm in the soundtrack, for all formats I tried.
So I give up, and have just downloaded Cyberlink PowerDirector, and that worked immediately. No problems.
Thanks for you help.
