Those are "image" files, a proprietary format of a program called Winimage.
You may be able to find a convertor that will turn them into a more universal format, or even use the Pixela software to convert them to something more universal. But you're going to not have much luck using them in their native state.
And does this help?
Pixela won't recognise the files, guess I'll try the web.
I don't think I was clear.
Those image files aren't pictures; they're images as in disk imaging, for making copies of disks.
Where did they come from?
These files are on my hard drive, I thought they were video files That originated from the original 'imagemixer' software that came with my sony DVD-101 camera. The software stores images in the 'album' as ".ima" files. I thought I could resurrect these files by re-installing the software, but I can't.
I have found a web site 'magic iso'and I have asked them if they can help.
