Can you give us more details, Chris?
When you say it "stopped", do you mean that the audio track literally ends at the end of the slide? (Make sure you're in timeline rather than sceneline mode so you can see what's going on?)
Also, try recording in timeline mode rather than sceneline.
And go to Edit/Preferences/General and set Timeline Playback and Auto-Scrolling to Page Scroll, so that the program won't waste your computer resources moving your timeline as you record.
Okay I just looked real careful at the timing. The soundtrack ends at 00;00;02;21 and the title frame ends at 00;00;03;16 so there is a minor difference. Then when I tried to start the narration on the first slide, it started at the beginning of the title frame. So a new question is: how do I start a narration in the middle of a slide show?
FYI: the still image default duration is set to 80 frames.
Sorry for the breakups in thought
Okay, I'm still learning how to use this program, I've only had it for a few weeks.
I did as you suggested, i.e. recording in the timeline and the preferences. This time I created a small slideshow (10 pictures) without a title and it works across all the slides and into the space after. It also lets me edit and add narration in the middle of the show. Thanks for your help.
okay one more question. Is there a really good instruction book out there for Premiere elements 4?
Well, my book is for version 7, but you can certainly use most of it for version 4 also!
