Have you gone into Premiere Elements Edit/Preference/Audio and clicked on the ASIO Settings to ensure everything is set up okay there?
Otherwise, can you be a little more specific? Are you saying that only certain video, or that any video, audio or music clips, you put into Premiere Elements won't play audio?
And have you ensured that other programs can play your audio?
Audio does not play on any file in Premiere 3.02, but audio doew play normally in other programs.
You mentioned ASIO. I see that, but I do not know what should be there.
I installed a trial version of Premiere Version 7, and audio plays fine in it from the same file that won't in Version 3.02
It definitely sounds like you need to set your audio configuration, James.
Unfortunately, I don't have your computer here in front of me, nor do I know how it's set up, so I can't help you. You'll just have to experiment on your own. Sorry.
If all else fails, since version 7 seems to work, you can try uninstalling version 3 and then re-installing it to see if that resets things correctly. You won't lose any work in progress if you do.
One other thing you can try, James.
Go to Edit/Project Settings/General and click the Playback Settings button.
Sometimes experimenting with these settings can also make a difference.
Try, for instance, checking the Compatible Desktop Display option. Or changing Desktop Audio to External Audio.
