Probably a driver issue. Try a newer or later printer driver.
Please stop guessing and answer only if you have a fix for the problem.
I have the same problem and have updated the printer driver and firmware as recommended by Adobe Acrobat. This did not resolve the issue.
We try to give advice that might help. If we restricted ourselves to
sure things most questions would go unanswered. One problem can have
several different causes.
Do not presume to tell other users how to help or not to help others in
these forums. You lack the authority to do so.

Although this is specifically for Reader 9, the symptoms sound so
similar that the same solution might work if it's a PS printer
Thanks for the thoughts. I've updated the software, firmware, and I don't have PS printer. Still with the same problem. Any more ideas?
As a temporary work around you can try print as image. The problem here
