I believe that when creating the PDF, they have to choose "Fast Web View" in the PDF options.
So, I modified the file to be Fast Web View, and saved it. but when I reload it via the webserver, it resets it to false. I confirmed it was not a cached file too.
Why would that happen? The modified date on the file shows it was modified at the right time, but the properties of the file as shown in Adobe Acrobat have Fast Web View set to false. I also notice the file size is nearly doubled.
Yes. The file size will get larger. Fast web view adds info to the file.
First off, how are you setting fast web view? Are you using Acrobat or Distiller?
I am using Acrobat to edit the file The file was originally created in Distiller.
Here is a screen shot...the lower image is from my pc, with the Fast Web View property set to yes.
The upper is after I download the same file from our website. Notice the modified date and time is the same, but the Fast Web View property is set to No.
