This is the same problem I am having. I was thinking it has something to do with fonts, because the same document will print correcly from another computer. I run into this often and decided I need to fix it. I tried differant versions of Adobe with the same results

And your thinking was more than likely correct. It's probably due to the fonts in some of the documents not being embedded or at least embedded properly. Reader doesn't always do a good job of substituting fonts. You can check the documents in question by going to File>Properties>Fonts and see if it says "embedded" or "Embedded subset" next to ALL fonts listed.
If not, there are two things you can try. One, get in touch with the creator of the PDF's and have them create them correctly or two, try the "print as image" selection in the print dialog menu.
The fonts were embedded Subset. I did the print as image and it worked perfectly. Not a bad work around, so I am going with that. Thanks for your help
Glad that worked for you.
It could also be a case of using poorly constructed fonts. Some don't embed well.
I have the same issue but also with option "print as image" it continue. Any solution? Thanks for your help.
